Thai bodywork draws its roots from a variety of traditions including yoga, Ayurveda, and Chinese medicine. The practice is done fully clothed on the floor beginning at the feet and moving upward. Pressure points along energetic pathways are worked to allow healing energy, known as Lom in Thai medicine, to flow freely throughout the body . The joints are mobilized and the body taken into yoga like stretches . Herbal compresses may be incorporated into your session for added relaxation and relief of muscular tension. Each session is fully customized to meet your needs both physically and emotionally to create a complete sense of well being.
My love of the practice combined with the general lack of practitioners in my area led me to create Thai Healing Sanctuary, a studio dedicated solely to traditional Thai Bodywork. To learn more please visit www.thaihealingsanctuary.com
